Old bingo game gets a new twist providing breast health to underserved Latinas

Now six (6) health care providers from San Francisco, California to Orlando, Florida will launch bingo in their communities starting in 2007. Latinas Contra Cancer, a San Jose, California non-profit, developed the unique, bi-lingual education tool.

Sister Study
Women whose sister had breast cancer are joining the Sister Study to help researchers learn how the environment and genes affect the chances of getting the disease. The Sister Study, a national breast cancer study, is enrolling 50,000 diverse women, and particularly needs the assistance of Hispanic/Latina women.
