Survivor Support

At Latinas Contra Cancer we are building a community of thrivers through our monthly support groups and regular community events encouraging self-care and healthy lifestyle for thrivers and their families. We hold a space for our community that is welcoming and appreciative of our culture and language.

LCC Support Groups

  • Family/Children support Group in Spanish: provides a roundtable platform where parents/caregivers can openly share their fears, concerns, and ongoing challenges related to caring for a child with cancer.

WHEN: 4th Monday of each month from 5:30pm to 8:30pm

WHERE: Mayfair Community Center

  • In Person Support Group in Spanish: This is a safe, trusting space that would help you reflect and process heavy emotions, practice meditation/exercises to relax, practice self-care, set healthy boundaries, express emotions and what you need to feel better. It will also help you explore your thoughts, practice positive thoughts, and cultivate practices of compassion, love and kindness/affection for oneself and others.

WHEN: second and fourth Tuesday of each month from 5:30pm to 7:00pm

WHERE - In-Person: Vietnamese American Service Center (VASC) - 2410 Senter Rd, San Jose, CA 95111

Your participation in the support groups can help you increase your knowledge, process your expertise, and emotions when you have been diagnosed with "cancer."
