Are you passionate about health equity and committed to ensuring just and equitable access to healthcare for the Latino community? Latinas Contra Cancer (LCC) is seeking dedicated individuals to join our Board of Directors and help guide our mission to support Latino families facing cancer and health disparities.

Join Our Board of Directors

We welcome individuals with a deep commitment to health justice and racial equity. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in:

Nonprofit leadership and governance
Fundraising, donor relations, and grant writing
Finance, legal, or compliance
Healthcare, public health, or patient advocacy
Communications, marketing, and digital strategy
Community organizing and movement-building

Latinas Contra Cancer values diverse perspectives and lived experiences, and we strongly encourage Latinas, cancer survivors, caregivers, and individuals from historically underrepresented communities to apply.

Serve a two-year term (renewable).
Attend board meetings every other month (held in a hybrid format: in person and virtually).
Engage in at least one board initiative or committee, as encouraged.
Fulfill the annual $1,500 give-or-get fundraising commitment through personal giving, fundraising, or sponsorships.
Actively engage in networking and advocacy efforts to strengthen our impact.

As a member of our Board of Directors, you will play a key role in advancing the mission and sustainability of Latinas Contra Cancer. Our board provides strategic direction, governance, and financial oversight to the organization. Responsibilities include:

Mission & Advocacy: Supporting and promoting the mission, vision, and values of LCC.
Leadership & Governance: Attending board meetings (held every other month, offered in a hybrid format—both in person and virtually) and participating in strategic decision-making.
Financial Stewardship: Assisting in fundraising efforts and meeting the board give-or-get commitment of $1,500 annually through personal contributions, fundraising, or sponsorships.
Engagement & Outreach: Serving as an ambassador for LCC in the community, advocating for health equity and patient rights. Committees & Initiatives: Board members are encouraged to be involved in at least one committee (e.g., development, governance, finance).
